082106 ~ WHITE FILIPINOS

i'd first heard about the portuguese dark chocolate donut candy called filipinos from arnel's uncle about five years ago. i always thought it was funny, though to be honest i was slightly offended the first time i heard about it. dark chocolate? filipinos? come on! anyway, our neighbor went home to portugal and brought these back for us -- WHITE chocolate filipinos! proof that the portuguese aren't racist, she said with a smile. can't argue with that. besides, these things are pretty damn good!
